Julia Jackson is the youngest daughter of the late renowned winemaker, Jess Jackson. After graduating from Scripps College in 2010, she traveled to France to work a harvest at the family owned Château Lassègue in Bordeaux. It was this experience that heightened her appreciation for winemaking.
As proprietor of Jackson Family Wines, Julia serves as a spokesperson for Cambria Estate Winery. Cambria Estate is a female owned and operated winery established by her mother, Barbara Banke, in 1987. Inspired by her mother’s resolve and philanthropy, Julia founded Seeds of Empowerment. The program awards $100,000 in cash grants to nonprofit organizations committed to supporting remarkable women across the globe who are making an impact in their communities.
The company is most often recognized for the Kendall-Jackson brand, but the family owns over forty wineries around the world. Among them is Vérité, the Jackson Family Wine’s Flagship wine of Sonoma County. While this region is known for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, Julia contends that Sonoma is among the best places for Cabernet. Vérité Le Désir, a Cabernet Franc-dominant wine, earned a perfect score by wine critic Robert Parker nine times.
Now the face of Jackson Family Wines, Julia represents a new era of successful winemakers as she continues to honor her father’s legacy. Read more on Los Angeles Confidential.
